Deb Johnson
For nearly 14 years, Deb Johnson has been a vital part of the Brewster Ambulance family, with 11 of those years dedicated to serving as a paramedic.
She spent a significant portion of that time working in the Braintree 911 System. Today, she plays a key role in our Field Training Officer (FTO) Program and oversees New Hire Orientation and Training.
Deb’s passion for emergency services was ignited by the classic TV show Emergency!—a show that featured her heroes, Paramedics Johnny Gage and Roy DeSoto. Growing up, Deb admired their dedication and bravery, and that admiration never faded. Their truck number, 51, held a special place in her heart.
On September 11, 2020, a moment of personal significance occurred when Deb’s new assignment in Braintree was Brewster Paramedic 51—the same number as her childhood heroes’ truck. When Mark Brewster personally delivered the new truck, Deb proudly called over the radio for the first time, “Brewster Paramedic 51,” creating a full-circle moment that she’ll never forget.
Reflecting on her time at Brewster, Deb describes it as an amazing experience. The friendships she’s formed, the trust she’s shared with her partners, and the unwavering support from the Brewster family, co-workers, supervisors, and her Ops Manager have made her journey truly special.
Keep up the great work, Deb!
